little andaman
for the ones who go further than everyone else.
Little Andaman is the southernmost inhabited island in the chain — remote, rough around the edges, and rewarding in ways the polished islands aren't. A long ferry from Port Blair, basic infrastructure, and experiences you won't find anywhere else in the territory.
Butler Bay is the surf beach — one of India's most consistent breaks, empty most of the year, with a lighthouse overlooking the point. Even if you don't surf, the walk along the black-sand coast and the coconut plantations behind it are worth the trip alone.
White Surf waterfall and Whisper Wave waterfall are short treks through rainforest — cold pools at the base, monkeys in the canopy, and almost no other tourists. The island was hit hard by the 2004 tsunami; Hut Bay town has rebuilt, but the interior still feels wild and slightly untamed. This is not a luxury destination. It's an adventure one.
